Job summary

Wyandot Memorial Hospital is seeking a Controller to join the Finance department on a full-time, day-shift basis. You will oversee core accounting operations, payroll, accounts payable, and financial reporting while guiding Purchasing and Logistics and collaborating with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field required.
• Five to seven years of accounting or finance experience required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel and computer skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively with individuals across the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising or leading teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, cash management, and financial reporting.
• Provide leadership and oversight to the Purchasing and Logistics department.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes and ensure timely and accurate financial statements.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes.
• Supervise and support the accounting team, providing guidance and leadership as needed.
• Oversee purchasing and logistics operations to support cost-effective procurement, inventory management, and efficient supply chain processes.
• Analyze financial information and assist with budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, Purchasing and Logistics, and other departments on financial and operational matters.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting, purchasing, and operational processes and systems.
• Prepare financial reports, correspondence, and other documentation as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
