Job summary

The position emphasizes month-end close, cost accounting, and internal/external audits, with responsibilities spanning financial data management and project finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with Accounting or Finance concentration is required.
• MBA preferred.
• Experience in hospital or nursing home accounting is preferred.
• Knowledge of accounting, finance, reimbursement, budgeting, credit and collection as relates to healthcare is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
• Strong Leadership & Teamwork Skills required.
• Must be self-motivated, flexible, organized, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and analyze financial records, reports, and statements related to healthcare operations according to GAAP/GASB principles.
• Prepare month end journal entries, reconcile accounts monthly, and various other month end procedures.
• Drive budget preparation and monitor facilities revenues and expenses.
• Owner of internal and external audits and cost reports, including preparing necessary documentation, schedules, etc.
• Analyzes, consolidates and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.
• Maintain and update financial databases and accounting systems.
• Responsible for finance-based projects.
