Job summary

Bloomington Meadows Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform a broad range of building and facility maintenance activities in a healthcare setting. You will handle painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and preventive tasks to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment.

The role requires adherence to safety and infection-control standards and may include on-call shifts during evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; two years of technical or trade school preferred.
• Experience operating hand/power tools with proper safety precautions.
• Understanding of Ohm's Law and refrigeration theory.
• Experience in building maintenance and basic mechanical engineering.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of building and facility maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC work, preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, and janitorial duties.
• Support a safe, functional, and well-maintained healthcare environment while complying with safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
• May participate in on-call rotation including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays to respond to emergency maintenance needs.
