James A. Haley VA Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform general maintenance and repair work under supervision. The role supports hospital infrastructure, equipment, and systems to ensure safe and reliable operation within a busy healthcare environment.

The incumbent will follow established procedures, comply with safety requirements, and document work performed. Experience in facilities maintenance and ability to read instructions are preferred.

Formación

• Experience performing maintenance and repair tasks in a facilities or healthcare setting.
• Ability to interpret basic instructions and use common hand and power tools.
• Compliance with safety policies and ability to follow supervisor directions.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, Supervisory General Engineer, or Chief, Facilities Management Service.
• Assist in maintaining hospital infrastructure, equipment, and systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.
