Job summary

Golfcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Assistant to keep our long-term care, nursing home, and rehabilitation center safe, clean, and well functioning. You will perform routine repairs, maintain building systems, and ensure safety compliance in a healthcare environment.

The role requires responding to maintenance requests, conducting inspections, and documenting activities. A high school diploma is preferred, with health screening, TB test, and background checks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in facility maintenance, especially healthcare or long-term care, is a plus.
• Successful completion of a training and competency evaluation program required.
• Orientation completion required by policy.
• Health screening and TB test within two weeks of employment (if required).
• Mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
• Must be free of criminal activity proven by background check.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
• Satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment within three days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive upkeep on facility equipment and systems
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents
• Maintain plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other building systems in good working order
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address safety hazards
• Complete forms, reports, logs, and records related to maintenance activities
