Job summary

Encompass Health is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our hospital facilities team. You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and tasks across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other systems to keep operations safe and reliable.

Responsibilities include testing EPSS, maintaining equipment, and working independently under supervision. A high school diploma and healthcare experience are a plus, with potential shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Prev experience in preventative maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or construction.
• Healthcare experience is a plus.
• May be required to work weekdays/weekends, evenings/night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely test and operate emergency power supply system (EPSS) and components.
• Install/maintain/repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, oxygen, and telephone systems.
• Work independently per job task under supervision.
• Retain auto, carpentry, phone, pneumatics, hydraulics, and computer skills.
