Job summary

Southland Health & Rehab is seeking a maintenance technician to support essential care by keeping systems running and facilities well-maintained. You will perform routine HVAC tasks, electrical work, and general repairs, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment for patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Reads safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Writes routine reports and correspondence.
• Speaks effectively before groups of customers or associates.

Responsibilities

• Changes air conditioner/heater filters as scheduled/needed.
• Performs routine maintenance of air conditioners/heaters.
• Tests fire alarm systems as scheduled/needed.
• Maintains and replaces electrical outlets and light bulbs.
• Builds structures for patient use (benches, flower boxes, etc.).
• Assists with major cleaning projects and housekeeping tasks.
• Maintains grounds (mowing, hedges, weeding) to keep areas clean.
