Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a senior project manager to direct, facilitate, and oversee the planning, design and construction of capital facilities projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timeline.

The role requires coordinating with design consultants, contractors, and vendors and aligning with hospital departments to mitigate construction impacts while maintaining life safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, or related field.
• 5-8 Years Related Work Experience Required.
• An understanding of the principles and practices of managing the design and construction of capital facilities projects.
• Experience With Microsoft Office Project Required.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Participates in project program planning, budget development and initial space planning/fit testing/schematic layout.
• Develops a comprehensive project charter and detailed construction timeline aligned with scope, budget, and target completion date.
• Manages design consultants, construction contractors and vendors; serves as project lead with architect, engineers, and construction manager.
• Coordinates with BIDMC staff to align project phases with impacted departments and ensures interim life safety and infection control compliance.
• Supervises construction and move management; oversees vendors and relocation of Medical Center staff; procures and installs equipment and furniture.
