Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a seasoned Capital Facilities and Engineering leader to develop and maintain a department-wide project controls system, guiding schedules, budgets and construction metrics. You will train staff, manage procurement activities and support contract administration across capital projects.

In this senior role, you will produce executive monthly reports, oversee documentation control, and ensure compliance with procedures while coordinating with Finance for budgets

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• More than 10 years related work experience.
• Fundamentals of project controls including CPM scheduling, cost/change control, and progress reporting.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access) and web-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains a department-wide project controls system for tracking schedules, budgets, construction progress and other key metrics.
• Provides training to project management staff on control procedures and contract administration processes.
• Manages procurement consultants and construction contractors, including drafting RFPs and evaluating responses.
• Reviews and approves progress payments, change orders, amendments, and settlements.
• Guides project managers on contract administration procedures including schedule of values and change order logs.
• Compiles data for executive monthly progress reports on cost, schedule and quality.
• Implements document control procedures including filing systems and security permissions.
• Performs analysis of selected contractor claims and change orders for compensation and time extensions.
• Coordinates project administration with Finance for budgets and accounting closures.
