Job summary

Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center is seeking a Manager Facilities - Maintenance to oversee day-to-day operations, supervise trades, and ensure timely maintenance and safety across plant engineering, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and related trades.

Responsibilities include staffing, budget adherence, coordinating construction activities, and providing on-call coverage as needed to support patient care and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience with 5+ years in facilities maintenance.
• Two years of supervisory experience required.
• Healthcare facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the hospital facility department and assign work orders.
• Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance and repairs while maintaining safety.
• Review and approve staffing schedules and staff time-off requests.
• Coordinate campus construction activities and utility shutdowns with departments.
• Provide 24/7 on-call coverage when required and respond to emergencies.
