Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead skilled HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting technicians in daily hospital operations.

You will schedule work, supervise trades, coordinate with peers and contractors, and ensure safe, compliant maintenance of buildings, grounds, utilities and equipment. Weekend or after-hours coverage may be required; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Experience in hospital facilities maintenance highly valued.

Qualifications

• Graduate of trade school or apprenticeship.
• Five years mechanical vocational training or equivalent.
• Five years electrical vocational training or equivalent.
• Two years tradesman supervision/leadership.
• Five years of vocational training in electrical, mechanical, building trades and hospital maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide scheduling and work direction to specialty trades and maintenance mechanics.
• Lead technicians through work distribution and monitoring performance.
• Communicate with peers, staff, contractors, tenants and customers on job issues and details.
• Ensure day-to-day operations of maintenance activities.
