Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee 24/7 hospital facility operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and BAS-controls. You will manage a team of skilled trades, schedule preventive maintenance, and coordinate with clinical and administrative partners to keep buildings safe and compliant.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety rules, working with regulatory agencies (TJC, CMS, DOH), and supporting the Director with internal and external relationships.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED is required.
• 4+ years maintenance supervisor (or lead) experience in a regulated/technical field; ASHE NFPA APPA or similar preferred or must join within 18 months.
• Bachelor of Science Nursing.
• Engineering or related field with 1+ years healthcare facilities management or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, plan, schedule, coordinate and directly support maintenance and repair services for hospital facilities to support 24/7 operations (HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, fire, BAS-controls, electrical, carpentry, painting, locksmith).
• Lead a team of skilled trades and ensure safety rules and regulations are followed.
• Maintain relationships with external regulatory agencies (TJC, CMS, DOH) and support the Departmental Director in oversight activities.

Bachelor of Science Nursing
