Calhoun Convalescent Center is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support safety, appearance, and upkeep of the facility for patients and families. The role involves teamwork with the Maintenance Director and hands-on tasks across painting, electrical, plumbing, and grounds maintenance.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; HVAC certification a plus.
• Knowledge of safety regulations.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Maintenance experience preferred, especially in a healthcare facility.

Responsabilités

• Assist the Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times.
• Take part in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance.
