Job summary

Fundamental in Summerville, SC seeks a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our facility safe, clean, and well‑maintained for patients and families. This full-time, 8:00am–4:30pm role provides hourly pay between $16 and $22, with opportunities to participate in painting, carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks, and preventive maintenance under the Maintenance Director.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, basic mechanical knowledge, a valid driver’s license, and prior maintenance

Qualifications

• Minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D required.
• Knowledgeable on various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems required; HVAC certification a plus.
• Knowledge of safety regulations required; reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements.
• Take part in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance.

Posted Salary Range

USD $16.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
