Job summary

Calhoun is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in South Carolina to help keep our facility safe and well-maintained. The role supports the Maintenance Director and covers painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and grounds tasks.

This full-time, on-site position operates Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a wage range of $17.00–$19.00 per hour. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems preferred; HVAC cert is a plus.
• Safety regulations knowledge required; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility per regulations.
• Participate in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and grounds maintenance; support preventative maintenance.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring that our grounds exceed the expectations of our patients and their families while they are in our care.

Posted Salary Range

USD $17.00 - USD $19.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Director with the overall safety, appearance, and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements at all times
• Take part in part in painting, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, grounds maintenance, and preventative maintenance
  

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D required
• Knowledgeable on various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems required, HVAC certification a plus
• Knowledge of safety regulations required
• Reliable source of transportation and valid driver’s license required
• Maintenance experience preferred; especially in a healthcare facility
