The position requires the ability to diagnose building issues, work independently, and operate hand and power tools in a healthcare environment, with attention to safety and resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical knowledge.
• HVAC troubleshooting.
• Boiler experience/knowledge.
• Ability to diagnose building operational problems.
• Ability to work independently.
• Comfort working in a healthcare/subacute-care environment.
• Reliability during emergencies.
• Capable of using hand and power tools.
• Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair campus HVAC, boilers, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot building problems and perform preventive maintenance.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation.
• Respond to emergencies and snow events, potentially extended hours.
• Work around residents, including those with dementia and behavioral challenges.
• Follow fire/disaster procedures and facility safety requirements.
• On-call for snow removal as needed.
• Operate with minimal supervision.
