Job summary

Pavilion Healthcare is recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. The role oversees daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the facility interior and exterior to ensure a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will perform routine inspections, address maintenance requests, and support the environmental services team. Responsibilities include coordinating with an Administrator, conducting inspections, performing repairs, and maintaining

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience performing maintenance duties in healthcare facilities or industrial settings is required.
• Associate’s degree, trade programs certificates, or equivalent work experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates regularly with the Administrator to ensure facility equipment functions.
• Leads facility inspections and can meet village inspectors when needed.
• Performs snow and ice removal as directed.
• Performs minor tile, wallpaper, painting, and drywall repairs.
• Maintains lighting fixtures.
• Repairs furniture or recommends replacements.
• Maintains and repairs pumps and related equipment.
• Performs all preventative maintenance and keeps inventories updated.
• Maintains and repairs fire alarm and nurse call systems.
• Troubleshoots and repairs kitchen equipment.
• Follows safety principles.
• All other duties as assigned.
