Job summary

Fairview Rehab is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our healthcare environment safe, clean and welcoming for residents, visitors and staff. The role requires self-motivation and experience in building maintenance with a strong customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities include general repairs, painting, basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC tasks, preventive maintenance and timely response to requests.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or building repair experience required.
• Experience with residential, commercial, or healthcare maintenance preferred.
• Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
• Ability to work independently and complete projects from start to finish.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
• Complete painting, staining, and touch-ups in resident and common areas.
• Perform basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC maintenance.
• Repair equipment and assemble furniture as needed.
• Complete preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
• Assist with snow removal and seasonal outdoor maintenance.
• Safely operate maintenance tools and equipment.
• Estimate materials and time needed for repairs.
• Follow all safety procedures, including hazardous materials guidelines (MSDS/SDS).
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests while maintaining a professional and courteous attitude.
