Job summary

Watsonville-Community-Hospital seeks a Facilities & EOC Manager for the Day Shift to supervise the physical plant, life safety, regulatory compliance, and safety operations across hospital facilities. The role leads the EOC Committee and ensures survey readiness through comprehensive documentation and reporting.

Key duties include managing capital projects, budgeting oversight, and coordination with Engineering and Bio Med to maintain preventive maintenance schedules and regulatory filings.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years progressively responsible secretarial/clerical experience.
• Advanced clerical/administrative training preferred.
• Proficient in operation of printer, fax, copier, multi-line telephone equipment and other standard business equipment.
• Ability to handle several issues simultaneously.
• Good communication (oral and written) and organizational skills required.
• Prepares capital project and equipment requisitions per hospital policy. Works with Director of Engineering to ensure up-to-date capital spread sheets and CER submissions.
• Monitors budgets of all departments under Plant Operations against monthly financial reports. Corrects discrepancies and generates monthly reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee physical plant, life safety, regulatory compliance, and operational safety across healthcare facilities to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Manage EOC Committee, assign subcommittees, and ensure timely submission of reports.
• Maintain documentation of EOC to ensure survey readiness; oversee PI activities and reports.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports for EOC and safety committees; coordinate with QMRC and hospital leadership.
