Job summary

Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters is seeking a Building Engineer to perform general maintenance and lead small projects across the hospital plant and associated buildings.

Under supervision, you will inspect, service, and repair equipment and facilities, develop maintenance plans, and maintain documentation. A focus on safe environments and collaboration with leadership and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Some college in technical field (electrical, HVAC, plumbing) preferred.
• Licenses in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing are preferred but not required; experience can substitute.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections, maintenance and repairs to hospital facilities to ensure safety for patients, staff, and visitors.
• Defines preventative maintenance parameters and monitors effectiveness of procedures.
• Plans, coordinates small projects and maintains documentation and work orders.
