Job summary

Remedy Medical Properties is seeking a Building Engineer in Quad Cities, IA to operate, inspect and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing and life-safety systems for healthcare facilities.

You will oversee vendor work, coordinate on-site construction, monitor building automation, and support the property team with budgeting and tenant relations to ensure optimal occupant comfort and compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of direct or related experience or equivalent education/experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage time effectively, establish workflow priorities and work independently.
• Able to physically perform duties at the speed, mobility, and force necessary to the task.
• Proficient in Microsoft based software.
• Excellent oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, maintain, service and repair mechanical (HVAC), electrical, lighting, plumbing, life safety and ancillary systems.
• Coordinate and oversee outsourced vendor work and review scope of work, schedule service, supervise to completion.
• Serve as primary day-to-day contact for tenants and maintain open communication with tenants.
• Ensure tools, equipment and literature are available and used for tasks.
• Respond to tenant service requests promptly and monitor building management system for HVAC adjustments.
• Coordinate and monitor on-site construction activities and assist contractors in engineering areas.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies for operation of facilities.
• Maintain compliance with government regulations (ADA, CFC, OSHA).
• Keep mechanical/storage areas clean and orderly.
• Monitor building conditions including vacant spaces.
• Assist Property Manager in budget process and bids.
• Interface with leasing team and prospective tenants as needed.
