Job summary

Healthcare Realty Trust seeks an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead tenant improvements and capital construction across medical office buildings in the Indianapolis area. This hands-on role requires coordinating architects, engineers, and contractors while partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality healthcare spaces.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial/healthcare construction, owner's representation, or construction management, with 5+ years

Qualifications

• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Experience coordinating multiple disciplines (architects, engineers, contractors).
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and budgets.
• Travel willingness within the assigned region.
• Experience as owner's representative or construction manager preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction projects from planning through closeout.
• Conduct regular site visits for inspections and collaboration with property teams.
• Develop deep knowledge of assigned portfolio and assets.
• Build and manage a network of local contractors and vendors.
• Evaluate contractor performance and incorporate qualified firms into bids.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets and execution.
• Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, contractors and vendors.
• Oversee design reviews, permitting and project documentation.
• Review construction documents, proposals and bids.
• Monitor progress through site visits and meetings.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists and closeout.
• Work with leasing teams on budgets and preliminary estimates.
• Oversee capital improvement projects for infrastructure and major garage repairs.
• Ensure safety, quality, schedule and budget objectives.
• Build relationships with tenants, contractors and municipal agencies.
