Job summary

CHI St Vincent is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep patient rooms and hospital areas clean and sanitized, protecting patients, visitors, and staff from infections. You will perform routine cleaning, use specialized equipment, and follow strict biohazard disposal and chemical usage procedures.

You'll restock supplies, deliver clean linens, and uphold safety and compassion in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in floor care and institutional housekeeping, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience operating standard EVS floor care equipment for hard surfaces and carpet.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine cleaning and decluttering to hospital areas including patient rooms, hallways, and restrooms.
• Sanitize areas using approved tools and procedures; follow location-specific room protocols.
• Restock supplies in supply and patient areas; deliver clean linens as needed.
• Learn and follow proper disposal of medical waste and biohazard materials.
• Maintain a friendly, patient-oriented demeanor with patients, visitors, and staff.
