Job summary

CHI St. Vincent is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to keep patient rooms and hospital areas clean and sanitized, protecting patients and staff from illnesses and hazards.

You will perform routine cleaning, use approved sanitizing tools, restock supplies, and follow proper disposal procedures for biohazards. A friendly, safety-minded approach helps create a calm, safe environment for patients and visitors.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required at hire.
• Preferred: high school graduate with healthcare experience.
• GED option with healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine cleaning and decluttering to hospital areas.
• Sanitize appropriate areas using approved tools and routines.
• Restock supplies (soap, towels, tissues, linens) in patient rooms and supply areas.
• Learn and follow proper disposal of medical waste, including biohazard waste.
• Remain friendly and personable in interactions with patients, visitors and staff.
