Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, part of Compass Group, is offering a paid Summer 2027 Environmental Services Intern position in Missouri. You will help with overall cleanliness, scheduling, training, vendor relations, and patient experience efforts to support hospital operations.

The role focuses on hands-on experience, safety, and collaboration with leaders in Environmental Services while building readiness for a future Operations/Manager track in healthcare support services.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college/university junior or senior.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written formal and oral presentations from hourly staff to Director level.
• Ability to maintain organization and establish priorities in an ever-changing environment.
• Must possess excellent customer service skills.
• Experience with Windows based office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Interest in pursuing a career with Crothall Healthcare and joining Accelerated Manager Program after college graduation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute operational standards.
• Participate in department safety and maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Respond to concerns and requests with a sense of urgency and take necessary corrective action when needed.
• Assure that the integrity of security at the facility is maintained at all times.
• Take a proactive approach to identify and correct facility quality assurance concerns; timely follow-up required.
• Bring creativity and innovation to the Crothall Healthcare program.
• Ensure that staff receive proper orientation, initial, and on‑going training.
• Provide and monitor individual guidance and motivation to associates to enable each one to perform to her/his fullest potential.
• Handle special requests or projects as assigned.
