Job summary

Ford Field in Michigan is seeking an EVS Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a medical facility. The role supports patient care by ensuring exam rooms, procedure rooms, restrooms, and common areas meet healthcare standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable in a fast-paced medical setting. Pay is $16.50 per hour with weekly pay and a $300 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare cleaning, Environmental Services (EVS), or custodial/janitorial work.
• Experience working in surgical, medical, or clinical environments preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and detailed cleaning of surgical and clinical areas, including procedure rooms, exam rooms, pre-op and recovery areas, offices, restrooms, waiting rooms, and hallways.
• Safely clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas according to established healthcare and infection-control protocols.
• Handle and properly dispose of regulated medical waste, including sharps containers and biohazard materials.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper products, sanitizing solutions, and PPE.
• Perform floor care tasks including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and spot cleaning.
• Empty trash and biomedical waste receptacles and transport to designated disposal areas.
