Job summary

The Professional Group is seeking an EVS Custodian to maintain a clean, safeMedical Facility in Ann Arbor, MI. Responsibilities include cleaning exam rooms, restrooms, halls, and common areas to healthcare standards, supporting patient care, and ensuring a sanitary environment.

Shift is Monday–Saturday from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Pay rate is $16.00 per hour, paid weekly. Benefits include 401(k) with match, medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and more.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in healthcare cleaning, Environmental Services (EVS), or custodial/janitorial work.
• Experience working in surgical, medical, or clinical environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and detailed cleaning of clinical areas, including exam rooms, offices, restrooms, waiting rooms, and hallways.
• Safely clean and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and high-touch areas according to established healthcare and infection-control protocols.
• Handle and properly dispose of regulated medical waste, including sharps containers and biohazard materials.
• Restock supplies such as soap, paper products, sanitizing solutions, and PPE.
• Perform floor care tasks including mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, and spot cleaning.
• Empty trash and biomedical waste receptacles and transport to designated disposal areas.

External Description

The EVS Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a Medical Facility. This role supports patient care by ensuring all areas—including exam rooms, procedure rooms, restrooms, hallways, and common spaces—are cleaned to healthcare standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced medical setting.

Pay rate: $16.00 per hour/ paid weekly
