Job summary

Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health is seeking a Full Time Laborer and Helpers Quality Assurance for the Oyate Health Center in Rapid City, SD. The role covers environmental services across hospital buildings, including patient care areas, hallways, clinics and support spaces.

Responsibilities include routine cleaning, sanitizing surfaces, waste disposal, linen handling and adherence to isolation cleaning procedures.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required. Housekeeping experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but willing to train the right person.
• Five (5) years of service at Great Plains Tribal Leaders Health Board/Oyate Health Center at Level 1; or demonstrated proficiency as an Environmental Services Technician.

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, mop floors, clean patient care areas and bathrooms daily using proper cleaning techniques.
• Operate carpet cleaning equipment and apply floor sealers and finishes as needed.
• Clean walls, windows, doors and fixtures; replenish supplies and transport soiled linens.
• Isolate and follow appropriate cleaning procedures for isolation rooms and patient care areas.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly activity logs and report repair needs.
