Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall, SD is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to keep patient and resident areas clean and safe. This full-time role supports infection control standards and contributes to a comfortable living environment for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include floor care, waste management, and ensuring supplies and equipment are well organized. A high school diploma is preferred, with 6 months cleaning experience encouraged. Sign-on bonus applies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident areas and common spaces.
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, waste disposal, and floor care.
• Operate cleaning equipment and manage supplies to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
• Assist in coordinating with staff to meet infection control and safety standards.
