Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall, SD is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and common areas. This role requires following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines to ensure a clean, healthy facility.

Responsibilities include emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors, and assisting in laundry as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and assigned areas.
• Empty waste baskets, sweep, scrub, wax, or polish floors using appropriate tools.
• Follow infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines to ensure cleanliness.
• Assist in related areas such as laundry when needed and use technology applications when available.
