Job summary

Good Samaritan Environmental Services Technician is responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary environment in patient and resident areas, following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines. Tasks include emptying waste baskets, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors, and using cleaning equipment across patient rooms and common areas.

Wear protective equipment and keep storage and equipment tidy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to use computer and prior cleaning experience is helpful.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and cleaning methods is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident areas, following infection control and safety guidelines.
• Perform cleaning tasks including sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors.
• Clean patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other areas to meet health standards.
