Job summary

Good Samaritan in Osceola, NE is hiring an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, clean environment in resident rooms and common areas. You will follow infection control and safety guidelines, perform floor care, waste handling, and maintain supplies while using appropriate PPE.

The role requires a High School diploma (preferred) and prior housekeeping or healthcare custodial experience. Part-time schedule with day shifts and about 20 hours per week; benefits available per policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment, methods and chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Previous custodial experience in healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and common areas.
• Empty waste baskets and manage waste according to guidelines.
• Sweep, scrub, wax, and polish floors using appropriate equipment.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures while performing duties.
• Wear PPE as required and keep storage areas clean and organized.
