Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking an Environmental Services Technician at its Hays facility. The role focuses on keeping patient areas clean, safe, and sanitary, following infection control and safety guidelines.

You will handle floors, rooms, and common areas, using cleaning tools and protective equipment as required. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and prefer six months of housekeeping experience.

Qualifications

• Six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and cleaning chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Environmental Services Technician maintains a safe, sanitary environment in patient/resident areas by following infection control, safety, and procedural guidelines.
• Responsible for cleaning patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms and other areas; uses appropriate equipment and PPE.
• May assist in laundry areas and use technology applications; able to lift up to 40–50 lbs and work varied hours including nights, weekends and holidays.
