Job summary

Good Samaritan in Oberlin, KS is seeking an Environmental Services Technician to maintain a safe, clean environment for patients, residents and staff. This PRN role covers various areas, including patient rooms, hallways and common spaces, following infection control and safety guidelines.

You will operate cleaning equipment, manage waste, and assist in laundry as needed. High school diploma preferred; six months of cleaning experience is preferred; strong customer service and communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months housekeeping or commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning materials, equipment and chemicals is helpful.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, sanitary environment in patient/resident rooms and common areas by following infection control and safety guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize patient/resident rooms, hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other areas; operate cleaning equipment as needed.
• Assist in laundry areas and manage supplies; follow program guidance for equipment and waste handling.
