Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking an Environmental Services Technician for the Canistota facility. You will maintain a clean, sanitary environment in patient and resident areas, following infection control guidelines and safety procedures.

The role requires day shifts, full-time schedule, and an ability to work every other weekend and holidays, with a $2.50/hour location premium. Prior healthcare housekeeping experience is preferred, and you will assist in laundry as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Previous custodial experience in healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and sanitary environment in patient/resident areas.
• Perform cleaning tasks including floors, restrooms, corridors.
• Assist in the laundry areas as appropriate.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Wear proper protective equipment as required.
