Job summary

Sanford Health in Rapid City, SD is seeking an Environmental Services Supervisor to lead a team in maintaining exceptional cleanliness and infection-control standards in a hospital environment. The role focuses on supervising staff, scheduling, training, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality guidelines.

You will oversee cleaning operations, participate in safety and compliance activities, and coordinate with other departments to support patient care and facility operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to use computer and prefer supervisory experience.
• Attend all monthly departmental meetings or review meeting minutes. Annually attend Infection Control and Safety In-services as specified in personnel policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to staff to ensure high levels of cleanliness, quality and service.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in assigned areas and coordinate room moves and turnovers.
• Coordinate projects and ensure proper frequencies, orientation, training and supply control guidelines.
• Ensure staff is trained in chemical handling and safety, and perform Quality Assurance inspections as assigned.
• Monitor daily equipment use and maintain a professional appearance of equipment and work areas.
