Job summary

ABM is seeking an Environmental Services Operations Manager to lead daily EVS operations in a healthcare facility, ensuring cleanliness, safety, regulatory compliance, and patient satisfaction. You will oversee staffing, budgeting, training, performance management, and continuous improvement while partnering with hospital leadership.

The role requires strong leadership, analytics, and communication skills; a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of healthcare leadership experience; union workforce

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; alternative: HS Diploma/GED plus 5+ years management experience.
• Minimum of 3 years leadership experience in healthcare; acute care hospital leadership preferred.
• Union workforce management experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and business software.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and direct daily Environmental Services operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Assign work, establish priorities, monitor productivity, quality, and timeliness.
• Adjust staffing and workloads based on operational needs.
• Lead, motivate, and develop EVS associates to achieve departmental goals.
• Direct short- and long-term initiatives in alignment with standards.
• Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members.
• Ensure compliance with labor agreements, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain employee engagement and training standards.
• Promote a culture of customer service and patient satisfaction.
• Prepare reports and participate in administrative meetings.
