Yona is seeking an Environmental Services Manager to oversee housekeeping and laundry in a skilled nursing facility. You will coordinate staff, ensure clean and sanitary conditions, and maintain compliance with federal and state regulations while managing budgets and department improvements.

The role requires strong supervision, organizational skills, and customer-focused service, with a focus on quality and staff development in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree or related experience preferred; HS diploma required.
• Healthcare housekeeping supervisory experience 2+ years preferred.
• Strong motivation, supervision, and customer service mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires and orients housekeeping, floor care, and laundry staff
• Trains workers in housekeeping, laundry, and floor care procedures
• Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and supervises functions and activities of the departments
• Supervises and evaluates the quality of work completed by department employees
• Maintains an environment that is sanitary, attractive and orderly
• Forecasts and plans the purchase of cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment
• Plans work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate services are rendered
• Maintains proper staffing levels and records (inventory, compliance, income/expense, personnel)
• Conducts regular management staff meetings and coordinates with other departments
• Manages a cost-effective program to budget
• Maintains department to be survey-ready per regulations
• Promotes professional growth of the departmental team
• Conducts quality assurance rounds and inspections and reports initiatives and accomplishments
