Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an Environmental Services Associate to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, caregivers, and visitors. The role supports infection prevention, patient satisfaction, and the facility’s appearance.

You will clean rooms, restock supplies, and follow safety protocols with a professional, service-oriented attitude. Starting pay is $17.80/hour with increases at six months and one year.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of housekeeping, sanitation, and infection prevention practices preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, common areas, and spaces.
• Maintain carts and equipment in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Restock paper products, soap, and supplies throughout assigned areas.
• Disinfect isolation and precaution rooms per infection control policies.
• Transport trash and soiled linen; manage waste to designated areas.
• Report maintenance concerns and safety issues to leadership promptly.
• Interact with patients, visitors, and caregivers in a professional manner.
• Attend department meetings and training sessions.
