Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking a dependable Environmental Services Technician to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and caregivers. You will clean patient care and non-patient care areas, manage waste and linen removal, replenishing supplies, and supporting infection prevention and safety standards throughout the hospital.

This position has a starting rate $17.80 per hour, with increases to $20.90 per hour after six months and $21.93 per hour after one year

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively.
• Confidentiality with patient information.
• Proficiency using smartphones, PDAs, or mobile devices for assignments.
• High standard of personal hygiene and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient care and non-patient areas.
• Manage waste and linen removal and replenish supplies.
• Support infection prevention and safety standards hospital-wide.
• Respond to work assignments and log into required apps.
• Maintain clean, organized Environmental Services carts and areas.
