Job summary

Solventum is seeking an Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to support manufacturing operations and continuous improvement initiatives. This internship runs 10–12 weeks, with a full-time schedule, at our on-site facility in Columbia, Missouri.

You will work under guidance to gain hands-on experience across engineering disciplines and GMP documentation. Eligible candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, have internship exposure, and demonstrate strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher from an accredited institution.
• Previous internship experience is beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for existing operations in the manufacturing facility.
• Lead/Support Continuous Improvement Projects to identify opportunities for cost, service, inventory and implement improvement plans.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects, experiments, and kaizen events.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues in label and industrial processes; identify causes and implement solutions.
• Document per GMP practices and Regulatory standards.
• Assist with validations, technical reports, and corrective/preventive actions as needed.
