Job summary

Solventum, a healthcare company, is seeking an Engineering Intern (Summer 2027) in Columbia, Missouri. You will support manufacturing operations, participate in continuous improvement, and help troubleshoot issues across the production workflow.

Applicants must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering and may have prior internships; strong communication and a self-starter attitude are valued. The role is on-site and limited to 899 hours per service credit year.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering, or higher from an accredited institution.
• Previous internship experience (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work on a wide range of technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for existing operations in the manufacturing facility.
• Lead/Support Continuous Improvement Projects to identify opportunities for cost, service, inventory and execute improvement plans.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects, experiments, and kaizen events.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues across the production workflow and identify solutions.
• Document per GMP practices and regulatory standards.
