Job summary

Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking an experienced Healthcare Emergency Communications Specialist to manage central communications for police, security, and safety services across Texas Health Resources. The role requires handling calls from employees, patients, visitors, physicians, and external partners, determining priority, and coordinating responses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
• 1 year experience in emergency communications or related field required.
• 6 months knowledge of NIMS preferred.
• 6 months security operations center monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central communications point for emergency and non-emergency requests.
• Receive, assess, prioritize, and coordinate incoming calls for service.
• Question callers to determine nature, location, severity and priority of incidents.
• Coordinate communications during critical incidents and major events.
• Initiate emergency notifications using approved platforms.
• Support Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) activations.
• Coordinate information flow between clinical leadership and external agencies.
• Maintain incident documentation throughout the lifecycle.
