Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications.
• Ability to obtain Certified Application Counselor (CAC) certification after hire.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients and determine eligibility for Access Health CT, HUSKY Health, and CIFC Health's Sliding Fee Discount Program.
• Guide patients through health insurance and financial assistance enrollment processes.
• Collect, verify, and evaluate household income and supporting documentation.
• Maintain accurate, confidential records of patient interactions and determinations.
• Collaborate with registration, billing, clinical, and administrative staff to ensure accurate coverage and sliding fee status.
• Stay informed of healthcare regulations and program guidance.
• Educate patients on coverage options and community resources.
• Empower patients to be informed advocates for their healthcare needs.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Share knowledge with team to ensure compliant, high-quality service.
