Job summary

Terros Health is seeking a Benefit and Eligibility Specialist to help patients access healthcare services by verifying insurance eligibility, assisting with enrollment, and conducting financial screening across Medicaid, Medicare, AHCCCS, and commercial plans.

The role collaborates with Patient Access Center staff, clinical teams, and payers to minimize barriers to care, ensure accurate coverage information, and support timely access to services while maintaining HIPAA compliance and accurate

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; healthcare education preferred.
• Experience in healthcare eligibility, enrollment or related operations preferred.
• Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, AHCCCS or commercial plans preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and assist with enrollment and renewals.
• Perform financial screening and monitor eligibility across programs.
• Help patients with benefit applications and required documentation.
• Use payer portals and EHR systems to verify coverage and update records.
• Maintain accurate demographic and payer information in the EHR.
• Provide outreach for renewal deadlines and coverage gaps.
• Collaborate with PAC, front office, and clinical teams to ease access to care.
