Qualifications

• Strong communication with patients, families, and staff.
• Ability to interpret safety rules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in preparing desserts or snacks for patients.
• Assist cook in meal preparation.
• Carry trays to patients in halls.
• Clean tables in dining area after meals.
• Help with salads, desserts and other dishes.
• Pour beverages for patients.
• Serve patients with beverages.
• Take meals to patients in dining area.
• Prepare between-meal nourishments (sandwiches, etc.).
• Clean work area and dishes; sweep and mop.
• Record temperatures for freezer and walk-ins per procedures.
• Check stock and store supplies properly.
• Set up tray line and perform tray-line service.
• Follow diet orders and substitutions as per guidelines.
• Store leftovers safely.
• Prepare coffee/tea as requested.
• Follow procedures for serving associate meals.
