Cura Hospitality is seeking a registered dietitian to join our healthcare team in Pittsburgh, PA. The role involves assessing nutritional needs of patients/residents, initiating interventions, and improving quality of life in alignment with individual goals.

You will provide nutritional expertise to the care team, adhere to professional standards and regulatory requirements, and collaborate with other departments to establish effective policies and procedures within dining and nutrition services.

Qualifications

• Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) or meets the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education hours every five years, in accordance with the CDR, utilizing the professional portfolio development process.
• Licensed or certified, per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards specific to comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others, specifically pertaining to nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate patients/residents, staff, or consultants.
• Follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics’ standards of practice and facility regulatory requirements.
• Interact with other departments in setting up procedures and policies, and in problem solving as it relates to dining service and nutrition.
• Actively participate in the development, review, and revision of continuous quality improvement programs.
