Job summary

ISH Health Services in Lancaster, PA is seeking a skilled Lancaster Kitchen Manager to oversee the Dining Services department. You will plan, organize, and direct daily operations to ensure safe, nutritious meals in a clean, compliant facility.

You will supervise staff, manage budgets, coordinate with vendors, and ensure adherence to federal, state, and local standards. Experience in healthcare food service and supervisory roles is preferred; weekend and holiday coverage is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED or at least two years in healthcare.
• Knowledge of federal and state nursing home dietary requirements.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Willing to work weekends and holidays when needed.
• Ability to manage budgets and expenditures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the Dietary Department daily to ensure safety and sanitation.
• Plan and prepare nutritionally balanced meals reflecting resident needs and regulations.
• Direct and supervise dietary functions and personnel.
• Purchase food from approved vendors.
• Maintain cost records and monitor monthly expenditures.
• Schedule staffing and review performance.
• Attend department head meetings.
• Follow health standards and guidelines.
• Prepare and cook meals per menus and physician instructions.
• Hire, orient, train, and discipline dietary staff whenever necessary.
