Qualifications

• Previous dietary or food service experience.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred
• Long-term care or healthcare experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department
• Lead, train, and support dietary staff
• Create and manage staff schedules
• Ensure meals are prepared and served according to menus and resident dietary needs
• Work closely with nursing and clinical staff regarding resident diets, preferences, and nutritional needs
• Monitor food quality, presentation, portion sizes, and meal service
• Manage food ordering, inventory, and proper food storage
• Maintain high standards for sanitation, cleanliness, and food safety
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and applicable regulations
• Address resident concerns and help create a positive dining experience
• Assist with staff education and ongoing department development
