Job summary

Huron's Healthcare Financial Advisory Services seeks a Manager of Decision Support & Cost Accounting to lead cost accounting design for hospitals and health systems, using StrataJazz and TDABC to build service line P&Ls and DRG-level models.

You will translate complex analyses into actionable insights for CFOs and VP Finance, manage engagements, coach junior staff, and collaborate with stakeholders across the client organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in healthcare finance consulting or provider finance.
• 2–3 years with StrataJazz Decision Support or similar healthcare EPM/cost accounting platform.
• Experience building service line margin analyses, service line P&Ls, or DRG-level cost models (TDABC preferred).
• Ability to lead engagements or major workstreams, managing scope, timeline, and client communication.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; comfortable with detailed financial models and senior stakeholder summaries.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and validate cost accounting models on StrataJazz or comparable platforms.
• Build and deliver service line margin analyses, service line P&Ls, and DRG-level cost models using TDABC and step-down allocation methodologies.
• Translate complex cost and margin analyses into clear, decision-ready insights for senior finance leaders (CFO, VP Finance).
• Lead consulting engagements or major workstreams, managing scope, timelines, quality, and client communication.
• Develop reusable engagement playbooks and delivery templates.
• Coach and develop junior team members with technical guidance, review, and feedback.
